Research Interests
Our lab is interested in investigating how social and biophysical factors, and their interactions, influence water security at present and in the future. Our research integrates field observations, laboratory measurements, computational simulation, and actively involves stakeholders. Some research questions we are currently pursuing include:
(i) How will future climate change and land use change affect the water quantity and water quality in the Midwest?
(ii) How will watershed protection plans mitigate contaminant release into water bodies?
(iii) What are the tradeoffs between agricultural development, water availability and healthy water supply?
(IV) How to analyze water quality change using existing big data?
If you’re interested in joining our group and pursuing a Ms. or Ph.D. degree at Ball State University, please send an email stating why you are interested in working in the group and relevant background information.
